The Axis 84-Channel Video Encoder consists of the Q7900 14-slot rack populated with 14 Axis Q7406 6-channel video encoder blades. Multiple individually-configurable video streams can be delivered from each channel at full frame rate in all resolutions up to D1. In addition to Motion JPEG (MPEG), the Q7406 also supports H.264 compression that helps reduce video file sizes without compromising on the quality and integrity of images.
Up to 3 simultaneous, individually-configured streams at up to 30 fps with different compression formats and resolutions can be sent to different recipients, thus optimizing the use of available network bandwidth. Image adjustment settings allow you to improve the contrast, brightness, and saturation of images before the encoding process begins. The Motion Detection feature allows video recording to begin once motion is detected. Privacy Masking can exclude certain spaces within a selected area from triggering motion based recordings.
Active Tampering Alarm functionality enables security staff to detect disrupted camera operation, by automatically alerting the operator in the event of redirection, blocking, or defocusing of the camera. In addition, the Q7406 triggers an alarm in the event of video loss. The external inputs and outputs of the encoder can be connected to sensors and relays, allowing the system to activate lights, react to alarms, and open or close doors. The Q7406 6-channel video encoder blades support a wide range of analog PTZ cameras. It also comes with password protection, IP address filtering, and HTTPS encryption features for enhanced security.
Equipped with 4 ports supporting Gigabit Ethernet, the Q7900 rack supports multiple video streams in the H.264 and Motion JPEG formats at 30/25 fps per channel in D1 resolution. With hot swapping support, blades and fan cassettes can be removed or replaced without having to power down the unit. This allows users in a dynamic CCTV environment to move blades from one server to another or swap an installed blade for one that is more appropriate for a particular camera or application.
The Q7900 rack features 2 redundant power supply units that help ensure uninterrupted operation. PTZ camera control is supported via RS-485 connectors at the back of each slot. Each slot features connections for external input and / or output devices that provide control of doors and lights, and provide support for external alarm triggers.
